AYO Light Therapy Glasses

A typical AYO session is 20 minutes. AYO was designed in a
way that it seamlessly fits with your lifestyle, allowing you to continue with
your daily routine while wearing it (e.g. cooking, working on the laptop, brushing
your teeth, etc.

No. You need to wear AYO with open eyes for the light to be
effective.

No. The device does not connect to your phone so you can use
it without a smart phone. However, the AYO app helps you get more out of your
device so it is recommended but not required. 

You can use AYO with most common prescription glasses’
frames. You can do this by putting AYO on top of your glasses and adjusting the
flexible nosepiece. However, for best results, we recommend using AYO without
prescription glasses, as they can make AYO less effective.

AYO emits blue-turquoise light of approximately 470 nm.
AYO’s irradiance levels (i.e. light strength) are 150 µW/cm2 and can be
considered as an equivalent to a 10,000 lux of bright light emitted by a
typical light box.

AYO is based on light therapy and the science of
Chronobiology. Light therapy is a widely-used and recognized method for
improving mood, energy levels and sleep quality, backed by thousands of
peer-reviewed articles and studies. 
Additionally, AYO is participating in numerous clinical studies with
leading institutions worldwide. Two of them, with the US Department of Defense
and the University of Reykjavik, are already published and have shown AYO to be
helpful in reducing some sleep problems, improving sleep quality and increasing

As with any light therapy device, certain adverse reactions
such as discomfort, headache, dry mouth, eye-strain, nausea or hyperactivity
can be experienced in rare occasions. These reactions are generally mild and
transient in nature.

AYO’s light has been carefully tested and is fully certified
for photobiological safety by the world-renowned independent certification body
TÜV Rheinland.
